A United States Marian Apparition

Did you know there is a Church-approved Marian apparition site in the United States? Marian apparitions are appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary, coming down from heaven to earth, to one or more people. In 1859, Mary appeared three times to a young woman named Adele Brise in the Wisconsin frontier.

Patrick O’Hearn is an author and acquisitions editor at TAN Books. His subjects of interest include the lives of the saints and the interior life. He is author of Parents of the Saints: The Hidden Heroes Behind Our Favorite Saints published by TAN Books.

Meet the Illustrator

Ann Kissane Engelhart is an accomplished watercolor artist, illustrator, and educator. Along with Go and Fear Nothing, Ann is also the illustrator of the OSV title The Light of Christmas Morning. She has worked with Amy Welborn to produce the children’s books, Friendship with Jesus, Be Saints!, Bambinelli Sunday, and Adventures in Assisi. She collaborated with Nancy Brown and Regina Doman on The Chestertons and the Golden Key and with Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle on Our Lady’s Message to Three Shepherd Children and the World. Her portraits and still-life and landscape paintings are featured in galleries and private collections. Ann lives in New York with her husband and has two grown children.
